No 6–8 week wait.
NHS non-urgent ultrasound waits in London now stretch to 4–8 weeks — longer still for the report afterwards. Ours is next-day available, with verbal results during your scan and a written report before you leave.
Comprehensive private ultrasound across abdominal, pelvic, MSK, vascular, soft tissue, thyroid, neck, breast and scrotal imaging — performed and reported the same visit by our experienced sonographer. One flat fee for any diagnostic scan, regardless of the body area or how many regions we examine.
Most clinics scan one day, send the images to a remote radiologist, then post you the report a week later. We do it differently — our sonographer reads your scan as he performs it, and you leave with a signed written report and a verbal explanation of what was found.
NHS non-urgent ultrasound waits in London now stretch to 4–8 weeks — longer still for the report afterwards. Ours is next-day available, with verbal results during your scan and a written report before you leave.
Many walk-in clinics use technicians to capture images that are read remotely later. Our scans are performed by an experienced sonographer who trained as a radiologist in Turkey before specialising in ultrasound — he interprets what he's seeing in real time and can change his approach as the picture develops.
Most private clinics charge variable prices depending on which body part you scan, plus a separate "consultation fee", plus the report. We charge one flat fee for any diagnostic scan, full stop. Easier for you to budget, easier for us to be honest.
You don't need to wait two weeks for an NHS GP appointment just to get an ultrasound referral. Self-refer directly — book online or by phone. Our sonographer will discuss your concern and confirm the appropriate scan before starting.
Every diagnostic ultrasound is the same flat fee. Whether you're scanning a single organ, multiple regions, or want a full body-region survey in one session, the price doesn't change. We don't itemise, we don't add report fees, and we don't charge per anatomy.
Internal organs, abdominal pain, suspected stones, masses, urological & gynaecological imaging.
Lumps, swellings, glands, lymph nodes — benign vs concerning differentiation, biopsy guidance where needed.
Sports injuries, persistent joint pain, tendon and ligament problems, post-injury and post-operative assessment.
Blood flow assessment, clot detection, arterial disease screening — with colour and spectral doppler.
Sex-specific imaging done discreetly and considerately, with experienced clinical interpretation.
Less common requests we can accommodate — usually with a brief consultation first to confirm the right scan and protocol.
What we don't do here: obstetric/pregnancy scans (referred elsewhere), TRUS (transrectal prostate biopsy guidance), cardiac echocardiography, and any scan we can't deliver to a clinical standard. We'll tell you straight at booking if your scan is outside our scope and recommend where to go.
Full pricing for all consultations, procedures and reports is published on our price list. We do not charge separate appointment fees on top of quoted prices, and all costs are confirmed before any test, procedure or report is started.
From walking in to walking out with your report — typically under an hour. No follow-up appointment needed unless onward investigation is recommended.
Book online or call. We'll send any preparation instructions (e.g. fast for 6h before abdominal scans, full bladder for pelvic scans). Most scans don't need any prep.
Welcomed by reception, brief discussion with sonographer about your concerns, then the scan itself. 15–30 minutes typically. Generally well-tolerated. Warm gel applied; clean towel provided.
Your sonographer explains what was seen, what's normal, what's not, and what (if anything) needs follow-up. Ask any questions — this isn't rushed.
Signed written report printed before you leave. Images on USB or emailed. Sent to your NHS GP with your consent, or to any private specialist you nominate.
Our sonographer leads every ultrasound personally. Radiology-trained in Turkey at Bulent Ecevit University Medicine Faculty, with 16+ years in medical imaging and 11+ years in general medicine. UK observership completed at Basildon & Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He performs the scan, interprets it in real time, writes the report, and explains it to you face-to-face — all in one visit.
No. You can self-refer for any ultrasound scan on this page. If you're not sure which scan you need, call us — the sonographer will discuss your concern and confirm the appropriate scan before booking. If insurance is paying, your insurer may require a referral letter; we can arrange a brief GP consultation if needed.
Yes — verbal during the scan, signed written report before you leave. This works because the same person performs the scan, interprets it and writes the report. Most other clinics outsource interpretation to a remote radiologist, which is why their reports take 3–7 days.
The full consultation, scan (one or multiple regions), doppler/vascular flow imaging where clinically relevant, real-time verbal interpretation, signed written report, digital images on USB or email, and a copy sent to your GP with your consent. No hidden fees: we don't charge separately for “consultation,” “report writing,” “image storage,” or extra regions the way some clinics do.
Your sonographer will discuss the finding with you immediately and recommend next steps. If onward investigation is urgent (e.g. suspected DVT, suspected abdominal aortic aneurysm, suspected acute abdominal pathology), we'll arrange a same-day GP review or direct you to A&E as appropriate. For non-urgent findings, we'll send a written report to your GP or any specialist you nominate, with a recommended onward pathway.
Depends on the scan. Most need nothing. Abdominal scans: fast 6 hours beforehand (water OK). Pelvic scans (transabdominal): drink water beforehand for a full bladder. Transvaginal pelvic: empty bladder before. MSK, thyroid, soft tissue, vascular, scrotal: no prep needed. We'll send specific instructions when you book.
Ultrasound is generally well-tolerated. The sonographer applies warm gel and moves the probe over the skin. Some pressure may be applied if examining a deeper structure, but should not be painful. Transvaginal and intracavity scans involve more pressure and may briefly feel uncomfortable — you remain in control and can stop at any time. There are no needles or radiation involved.
Most major UK private medical insurers (Bupa, AXA Health, Vitality, Aviva, Cigna, WPA) cover diagnostic ultrasound when clinically indicated. They typically need a GP or specialist referral and pre-authorisation. Always confirm with your insurer first.
Yes — that's the entire point of our flat-fee model. If your sonographer recommends scanning, say, abdomen, kidneys and pelvis in the same visit, you pay one flat fee. Same if it's a shoulder MSK plus a thyroid plus a vascular doppler. No region multipliers, no add-ons, no surprises.
Same-day results. One flat fee for any diagnostic scan, any body region, any number of areas.
