How it works

Walk in, get seen, go home.

  1. 01

Brief reception triage, then straight to a private consultation room. Most patients are seen within 15 minutes of arrival.

  3. 03

    Diagnosis, treatment, on-the-spot tests

A GMC-registered doctor will examine, diagnose, prescribe and order any tests you need — ECG, ultrasound, bloods, urinalysis — all on site.

  4. 04

    Leave with a plan

Prescription, sick note, follow-up appointment or specialist referral — whatever you need. We write to your NHS GP with your consent.

Transparent pricing

All fees on our price list.

Full pricing for all consultations, procedures and reports is published on our price list. We do not charge separate appointment fees on top of quoted prices, and all costs are confirmed before any test, procedure or report is started.

On-site diagnostics

Tests, scans & results — in one visit.

You won't be sent away to wait for a separate appointment somewhere else. Most diagnostics happen during your urgent care visit, with results back the same day or within 24 hours.

ECG

12-lead electrocardiogram on site. Results read by a doctor during your appointment.

Ultrasound

Abdominal, pelvic, MSK and venous ultrasound. Sonographer or radiologist on site. Same-day or next-day reporting.

Blood tests

Taken by our nurses, processed by The Doctors Laboratory (TDL). Full blood count, CRP, glucose, kidney & liver function and full health panels. Results in 24 hours for most tests.

Urinalysis

Dipstick urine testing in the consultation room. Confirms UTIs, checks for blood, glucose, ketones and infection markers in minutes.

Spirometry & pulse oximetry

Breathing function tests, oxygen saturation, peak flow — useful for asthma, chest infections and breathlessness assessment.

BP & vitals

Blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, respiratory rate and oxygen saturation taken at every visit — included in the consultation fee.

We don't do X-ray or CT scans on site — if you need imaging, we'll arrange it same-day or next-day with our partner imaging centres in central London. See all 25+ services →

Common questions

Before you come in.

Can I just walk in, or do I need to book?

Walk in any time during clinic hours, 9am–7pm, seven days a week. No appointment required. Most patients are seen within 15 minutes of arriving. If you'd rather we held a slot for you, call ahead — reception answers around the clock.

What's the difference between urgent care here and A&E?

A&E is for life-threatening emergencies — major trauma, severe chest pain, suspected stroke, severe bleeding, breathing difficulty. They have the specialists, surgeons and resuscitation equipment for those situations.

Our urgent care is for everything else that genuinely needs to be seen today but isn't life-threatening — fevers, infections, pain, minor injuries, sudden symptoms. We see you in minutes rather than hours, with no triage queue.

If you're unsure, call us. Reception will tell you honestly which is right for you.

Do I need to bring anything?

Just yourself. If you have a list of medications you're already on, that's helpful. Photo ID is useful if you're claiming on insurance. You don't need to register or sign up beforehand — we'll do that at reception.

Will you give me antibiotics if I need them?

Yes — if you genuinely need them. Our doctors prescribe antibiotics when a bacterial infection is diagnosed and the clinical picture warrants treatment. We won't prescribe them for viral illnesses (where they don't work and cause harm), and we follow UK antimicrobial stewardship guidance. If you do need them, the prescription is issued during your visit and dispensed at any UK pharmacy.

Can a child be seen for urgent care?

Yes — we see paediatric patients for urgent care including fevers, rashes, ear infections, vomiting and minor injuries. For under-1s or severely unwell children, please call first so reception can advise whether to come to us or go straight to a paediatric A&E. The Royal London Hospital has a dedicated children's emergency department five minutes away.

Does my insurance cover urgent care?

Most major UK insurers cover urgent care consultations — Bupa, AXA Health, Vitality, Aviva, Cigna and WPA all work with us. Pre-authorise with your insurer before you come in, especially out of hours. If pre-auth isn't possible (genuine emergency walk-in), pay on the day and claim back — we'll provide an itemised invoice.

What happens if I need an X-ray, CT or hospital admission?

We don't have X-ray or CT on site, but we can arrange same-day or next-day imaging with our partner imaging centres in central London. For genuine hospital admission, we'll arrange a direct admission to a private hospital (via your insurer) or refer you straight to the appropriate NHS service — whichever is faster and more appropriate.

How is this different from a Private GP appointment?

A private GP appointment is for planned, non-urgent care — things you'd normally book your NHS GP for: chronic conditions, repeat prescriptions, screening, ongoing concerns. Urgent care is for something acute that's happened today and needs attention now. Same doctors, same diagnostics, same clinic — just a different reason for coming in. The fee is the same.
