Consultant Plastic Surgeon · GMC Specialist Register · Royal London Hospital · Nuffield Health Hospital at St Bartholomew’s
Dr Yildirim Oezdogan is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon on the GMC Specialist Register, with NHS consultant posts at the Royal London Hospital and at Nuffield Health Hospital at St Bartholomew’s. He leads cosmetic and reconstructive surgery at My Health & Wellbeing Clinic. Consultations and aesthetic procedures take place at our Whitechapel site; surgical procedures take place at NHS-regulated hospital settings.
Dr Oezdogan is a UK-trained Consultant Plastic Surgeon with more than a decade of specialist-grade practice. He is on the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery and holds substantive NHS consultant appointments — meaning his surgical work is consultant-led, in CQC-regulated hospital settings, with proper anaesthetic cover and the full NHS-standard safety framework around it.
His practice covers both cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. He is honest with patients about what surgery can and can't change, walks through realistic outcomes during consultation, and the clinic does not display before/after marketing imagery as a matter of policy.
Consultations and follow-ups happen at our Whitechapel site. All surgical procedures take place at appropriate hospital theatre settings — not at the clinic — under appropriate anaesthesia, with a 14-day cooling-off period between consultation and any cosmetic surgery as standard. Dr Oezdogan speaks Turkish, and a substantial share of his patients are Turkish-speaking, often choosing UK-based surgery over the well-publicised risks of cosmetic surgery abroad.
The range of work this clinician does at the clinic. Some appointments are routine; some sit at the boundary of where a specialist referral is needed, and we'll say so.
Breast augmentation, breast reduction, breast uplift (mastopexy). Consultation includes detailed discussion of expected outcomes, risks, scar location, recovery, and longer-term considerations.
Liposuction (assessment-led, not for weight loss), abdominoplasty referral pathway, post-pregnancy body contouring discussion. Honest conversation about realistic outcomes and recovery.
Upper blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), otoplasty (ear pinning, including paediatric where appropriate), earlobe repair. Often combined with non-surgical aesthetic options where surgery isn't the right answer.
Autologous fat transfer to face, hands and body for restorative or aesthetic indications. Discussion of expected longevity, technique, and combination with other treatments.
Reconstructive procedures including scar revision, lesion-removal reconstruction, and complex case management. Many reconstructive cases are funded through NHS or insurance pathways.
Single consultation with the surgeon who would perform the procedure — not a salesperson. Patients considering cosmetic surgery abroad are welcome to book a second opinion before travelling.
Services Dr Yildirim regularly delivers. Each links to a dedicated page with scope, what's included, and how to book.
Most consultations are 30–45 minutes for an initial assessment, shorter for follow-ups. You’ll be seen in a single appointment, with bloods, ECG or other tests (if needed) usually done on the same visit.
Results from on-site tests are typically back within 24–48 hours via TDL (our laboratory partner). Follow-up consultations are scheduled to discuss results, refine treatment, or make onward referrals. With your consent, we write to your NHS GP so your record stays joined-up.
Where your case needs a different specialist, Dr Yildirim refers to a panel of trusted clinicians across London — matched to your specific need. We don’t take commission or referral fees from any external provider.
The clinic is recognised by major UK private medical insurers including Bupa, AXA Health, Vitality, Aviva, Cigna and WPA. Pre-authorisation is usually required. For self-pay patients, fees are confirmed before any test, procedure or report is started. Full pricing is on our price list.
