About Dr Nikolay Kralimarkov

Psychiatry, not 10-minute pathology.

Dr Kralimarkov is a UK-trained Consultant Psychiatrist on the GMC Specialist Register. At My Health & Wellbeing Clinic he provides full diagnostic psychiatric assessments — not 10-minute checklist consultations. Assessments are 60–90 minutes for a comprehensive workup, with structured follow-up.

He has a particular interest in adult ADHD and autism — both first-time assessments in adulthood and re-evaluation of previous diagnoses. The clinic's ADHD pathway uses NICE-aligned diagnostic protocols (DIVA-5 and similar validated tools), and where ADHD is diagnosed and therapy is appropriate, treatment can be initiated with structured monitoring and shared-care arrangements set up with the patient's NHS GP.

Dr Kralimarkov also sees patients for depression (including treatment-resistant cases), anxiety disorders, OCD, bipolar disorder, and the medication-management side of common mental health presentations. He works closely with our consultant clinical psychologist and psychology team for cases that need combined psychiatric and psychological input.

What they see

Clinical focus.

The range of work this clinician does at the clinic. Some appointments are routine; some sit at the boundary of where a specialist referral is needed, and we'll say so.

Adult ADHD assessment

Comprehensive ADHD diagnostic assessment for adults using NICE-aligned protocols (DIVA-5, ADHD-RS, collateral history). Assessment is in-depth, not a 30-minute checklist. Where diagnosed, medication trial and structured monitoring follow with shared-care setup.

Adult autism assessment

Adult autism spectrum assessment using validated diagnostic tools, structured developmental history, and clinical examination. Same care taken — assessment takes the time it takes.

Depression & anxiety

Assessment of depression (including treatment-resistant cases), generalised anxiety, panic disorder, social anxiety, health anxiety, OCD. Medication initiation, optimisation and review — often alongside psychological therapy with our psychology team.

Treatment-resistant cases

Patients who haven't responded to first or second-line treatments. Detailed review of previous treatment history, differential diagnosis review, augmentation strategies, and specialist medication options where appropriate.

Bipolar & mood disorders

Diagnostic clarification for suspected bipolar (where antidepressants haven't worked or have caused mood elevation), mood stabiliser management, structured monitoring of lithium and other specialist medication.

Shared-care & second opinions

Setting up shared-care arrangements with NHS GPs for ongoing medication. Second opinion consultations for patients unsure about a previous diagnosis or treatment plan.

If you’re booking

What to expect.

Standard appointment

Most consultations are 30–45 minutes for an initial assessment, shorter for follow-ups. You’ll be seen in a single appointment, with bloods, ECG or other tests (if needed) usually done on the same visit.

Follow-up

Results from on-site tests are typically back within 24–48 hours via TDL (our laboratory partner). Follow-up consultations are scheduled to discuss results, refine treatment, or make onward referrals. With your consent, we write to your NHS GP so your record stays joined-up.

Onward referrals

Where your case needs a different specialist, Dr Nikolay refers to a panel of trusted clinicians across London — matched to your specific need. We don’t take commission or referral fees from any external provider.

Insurance & self-pay

The clinic is recognised by major UK private medical insurers including Bupa, AXA Health, Vitality, Aviva, Cigna and WPA. Pre-authorisation is usually required. For self-pay patients, fees are confirmed before any test, procedure or report is started. Full pricing is on our price list.
