Same-day GP appointments
Acute infections, rashes, urinary symptoms, abdominal pain, respiratory illness, headaches — the things that bring you to a GP when an NHS slot isn't available quickly enough. Most appointments are 15–20 minutes.

Dr Haydar Bolat is one of the founding doctors at My Health & Wellbeing Clinic and serves as Clinical Director and CQC-registered manager. He sees patients for routine and same-day GP consultations, men's health, dermatology, minor procedures, chronic disease review, and travel and immigration medicals. Most patient pathways at the clinic begin with him or with Dr Chowdhury.
Dr Bolat trained at one of London's main medical schools, qualifying as a doctor before completing GP specialist training in the UK and gaining membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners. He has spent more than a decade working in NHS and private general practice in London, with particular focus on East London communities.
He co-founded My Health & Wellbeing Clinic with the aim of building a clinic that takes time over its appointments, is honest about what private GP work can and can't fix, and refers onward without commission or hidden incentives when a consultant is needed. As CQC-registered manager, he holds clinical responsibility for the clinic's regulatory standards.
Day-to-day, Dr Bolat is the GP many of our patients see first — for everything from a same-day urgent concern, to a structured health check, to ongoing management of long-term conditions like hypertension or type 2 diabetes. He speaks English and Turkish, and a substantial share of the clinic's Turkish-speaking patient base is under his care.
The range of work a generalist GP does in private practice. Many appointments are routine; some sit on the boundary of where a specialist referral makes more sense, and we'll say so.

Structured health checks including blood panels (full blood count, kidney/liver function, HbA1c, lipids, thyroid, vitamin D, ferritin), blood pressure assessment, BMI/waist measurement, ECG where indicated, and a follow-up consultation to discuss findings.
Hypertension, type 2 diabetes, raised cholesterol, asthma. Diagnostic review, medication initiation and titration, structured monitoring, and shared-care arrangements with your NHS GP where appropriate.
Erectile dysfunction assessment, prostate symptoms, testosterone evaluation (BSSM-aligned), general male health screening, and frank conversations many patients find easier with a male GP who speaks their language.
Skin lesion assessment, mole checks, minor skin surgery, cyst and lipoma removal, suspicious-lesion triage with onward dermatology referral when needed. All excisions are sent for histology.
DVLA Group 1 and Group 2 medicals (D4), TfL PHV medicals, employer pre-employment checks, fitness-to-fly letters, insurance/legal medical reports, and immigration-related medical assessments (including KOLL language-waiver reports).

Most GP consultations are 15–20 minutes; some health checks and chronic-disease reviews are 30 minutes. You'll be seen in a single appointment, with bloods or ECG (if needed) usually done on the same visit by our nurse team.
Results from on-site bloods are typically back within 24–48 hours via TDL (our laboratory partner). Follow-up consultations are scheduled to discuss results, refine treatment, or make onward referrals. With your consent, Dr Bolat writes to your NHS GP so your record stays joined-up.
Where your case needs a hospital consultant, Dr Bolat refers to a panel of trusted specialists across London, matched to your specific need (cardiology, gastroenterology, urology, orthopaedics, etc). We don't take commission or referral fees from any external provider.
The clinic is recognised by major UK private medical insurers including Bupa, AXA Health, Vitality, Aviva, Cigna and WPA. Pre-authorisation is usually required. For self-pay patients, fees are confirmed before any test, procedure or report is started. Full pricing is on our price list.
