Dr Gozde Arslan is a Counselling Psychologist who provides one-to-one therapy at MHW Clinic. She works with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties and life transitions, with an evidence-based approach drawing on CBT, schema therapy and other validated modalities. She speaks English and Turkish.
Dr Arslan is an HCPC-registered Counselling Psychologist with a doctoral-level qualification in psychological therapy. Her clinical work spans the range of common adult mental health presentations — anxiety disorders, depression, post-traumatic stress, relationship and attachment difficulties, and the kinds of life-transition challenges that bring people to therapy in their 20s, 30s and beyond.
Her approach is evidence-based and structured. She draws on cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), schema therapy, and trauma-focused approaches as appropriate to the presenting concern. Sessions are 50 minutes; courses of therapy are usually 8–16 sessions for focused work, longer for complex or trauma-related work, agreed openly at the assessment stage.
She speaks English and Turkish, and a substantial share of her caseload is in Turkish — for clients who feel they can do the work more honestly in their first language, that matters.
The range of work this clinician does at the clinic. Some appointments are routine; some sit at the boundary of where a specialist referral is needed, and we'll say so.
Generalised anxiety, panic disorder, social anxiety, health anxiety, work-related anxiety. CBT-based approaches with practical work between sessions, plus deeper exploration where lifelong patterns are part of the picture.
Acute depression, recurrent depression, depression alongside life events or relationship difficulties. Therapy adapted to severity, with onward referral to our consultant psychiatrist if treatment review is also indicated.
Single-incident trauma, complex trauma, childhood adversity and its adult impact. Trauma-focused therapeutic approaches, paced carefully and with safety planning where needed.
Difficulties in relationships — romantic, family, work. Schema therapy and attachment-informed approaches for patterns that keep repeating, and individual therapy alongside relationship counselling elsewhere where useful.
Career changes, becoming a parent, separation, bereavement, midlife reassessment, identity. Sometimes therapy is the right space to work through life's harder transitions rather than wait for them to resolve themselves.
First-language therapy for Turkish-speaking clients. Many people find they can do deeper psychological work in the language they grew up in — particularly around family, identity, and migration-related themes.
Services Dr Gozde regularly delivers. Each links to a dedicated page with scope, what's included, and how to book.
Most consultations are 30–45 minutes for an initial assessment, shorter for follow-ups. You’ll be seen in a single appointment, with bloods, ECG or other tests (if needed) usually done on the same visit.
Results from on-site tests are typically back within 24–48 hours via TDL (our laboratory partner). Follow-up consultations are scheduled to discuss results, refine treatment, or make onward referrals. With your consent, we write to your NHS GP so your record stays joined-up.
Where your case needs a different specialist, Dr Gozde refers to a panel of trusted clinicians across London — matched to your specific need. We don’t take commission or referral fees from any external provider.
